It has been quite a crazy and exciting month of Oct and Nov. Was away to Kuala Lumpur, Bali and Japan. In between, attended my sis-in-law's wedding ceremony as well. And now, I need to quickly start preparing for my next trip to Las Vagas which will happen in 2 months time. Not that I like to travel this much, but I do like getting myself busy. Well, traveling always brings new experience. Travel does for the soul what education does for the mind.
Mayday and I, in Kuala Lumpur
Was in Kuala Lumpur over the past weekend. If there is one thing that would excite me at the age of 37, it would be Mayday band. Flew there just to attend their concert. Not that I didn't attend their Singapore stop, I just wanted to watch them again. And this trip was a good shopping trip as well. Can't remember when's the last time I was so 'fruitful' in shopping. Overall, nice hotel, good food, fruitful shopping and fantastic concert. An amazing 3D2N in KL.
Too sweet not to post
I don't often put up post relating to my work, but this is too sweet not to. 10th year anniversary of vForum.
1st apple watch
Been looking at it for awhile. I'm a watch lover and had really hesitated on whether I should join the bandwagon of the e-watchs. Whether I will wear this instead of my existing collections of watches. Whether I'll get used to having to charger it every night. Didn't think I need the series 2 function, so I settled for the series 1. Been wearing it for afew days and so far, really like it!
Friday indulgence
It's Friday! And after a long work week, really have to look forward to something. 'Teppei shokudo' located at Millenia Walk is probably the best kaisen-don I have eaten. Follow by O'ma Spoon's 'Chico Brownie Bingsu' desert. Perfect start to a weekend.
Ocbc cycle 2016
My 2nd year in a roll participating in this event. 42km in total distance, flagging off at 5.15am in the morning. Too much excitement for me that I can't catch any sleep last night. The route is the same as last year's. A really fun ride. Gonna do this again next year.
Phone upgraded
Received delivery of my new iPhone 7 plus today. A much bigger size upgrade compared to my previous iPhone 6s, and I have no problem with this bigger size. Photo quality is noticeably better. Gonna get along well with my new companion from now.
Omiyage!
Recently, been showered with lots of gifts from overseas. This times, it's from a Japanese friend who comes Singapore a few times a year, staying only 2 days each time. The 'jelly Mochi' is really nice!
Love from Hong Kong
So much love brought back from my in-laws on their trip to Hong Kong. Wanted to join them so much in this one.
First foldio360 attempt - Gundam 360
First attempt at taking product photography, and foldio360 made it so much earlier. I'm not paid advertising fee, but foldio360 is one of the best items bought from kickstarter so far.
foldio360 - 'simple, but useful'
Bought this on Kickstarter afew months back, finally arrived and I can't wait to start playing with it.
Sun and Moon
Been awhile I had my sashimi curving satisfied. Sun and Moon Japanese dinning is having a Fukouka fair and very unique yellow tail sashimi. Think I should start a food blog soon.
Marutama
Raman, something I eat on a weekly basis when I was working for 6 months in japan. Been craving for it for awhile and finally got to satisfy my longing yesterday; Marutama ramen, a chicken soup base Japanese noodle from Clarke Quay Central. But somehow, doesn't taste as good as I've remembered. Taste change over time? Or misperceptions of my imagination?
Poke fever
Been playing the Pokemon Go for awhile since it's released in Singapore. Going around, away from my everyday life, catching Pokemons with everyone is a form of relaxation for me.
Since I'm not fighting in gyms, I'm only aiming to 'catch em all'. At 112 numbers caught, it's getting really difficult to catch new creatures. Had been stucked at this number for some time now.
Passionate as a Grassroot leader
Just received my grassroot leader passion card. Looked better than I expected. Volunteering had always been something I wanted to do. Even if it's just a little bit, hope I can make a difference.
LKY memorial
My first grassroot duty and it's for the LKY memorial event. Well coincidentally, my photo was taken together with PM Lee and some of the MPs. Pretty cool imo. Time flies and a year had passed since LKY's dead. It was easily the biggest event in Singapore last year and will be remembered by all of us many years to come.
Missing Japan
Was at the supermarket. Can't help but bought all of these. Ate a lot of these during my time in Japan. Guess I really do miss Japan.
Bonus egg yolk
Just another normal day of me deciding to cook instant noodle for lunch. Only to find an extra egg yolk in my egg. Is this even normal? Anyway, just eat!
Extremely long hiatsu
Been really long since my last post. Well, nothing much going on, except that I've quit my last job which I've been in for last 7 years, and moving on to another. Still gonna be in IT industry, I'll still gonna be a PM. Keeping my finger cross on this change. Mean while, I'm cleaning 3 weeks of leave to 'do nothing'. Went for a short trip with my family, hangout with friends, exercised, clear arrant. Gonna be prepared before the new job.
Went for this Korean chicken reaturant last week. Lots of variety of chicken!
Chinese 7th month prayer
Every year during the 7th month of the Chinese calendar, it is what the Chinese believe, is the 'ghost month'. Meaning, ghost from hell will get a month of free pass to roam the human world. It is during this month, Chinese will hold many prayers event. In the company which I work in, every year we will come together as usual during these prepare. And after praying, we will feast on the offerings together! Roast duck, chicken, pig etc.
